Sleeps to Remember: A Night in Tarangire Treetops in Tanzania

In Tarangire National Park, the Elewana Collection of Camps has found a creative way to bring you into the enchanting heart of Africa. Their Tarangire Treetops property—where you will stay for two nights on our Tanzania Fly-In Safari—makes brilliant use of the region’s 1,000-year-old baobab trees to create a network of 20 tree-house rooms built on wooden decks and packed with worldly luxuries. The result? You can get closer to the wildlife than you ever imagined. CW Safari guest John Herman tells us just how amazing these experiences can be: “My wife and I were awakened one night by a strange, low rumbling just below our room. When I got a flashlight and shined it out the door, we found an elephant snoring just five feet below us. It’s one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen.”
