Ready When You Are
You can feel confident that Country Walkers will support our guests in healthy and safe travel, and that we are taking extra precautions when it comes to how we operate our tours moving forward. Many of you, like the Country Walkers team, are dreaming of travel, and we are prepared to make that a reality when you are ready! Read on to see the health and safety measures we are taking on our tours. We hope this provides peace-of-mind when choosing to travel with Country Walkers.
Keeping You Informed
Country Walkers and our worldwide network of staff, guides, and vendors are constantly monitoring the travel landscape to prioritize your health and safety. We will communicate with you about any changes or updates regarding booked travel and our on-tour safety procedures. You can continue to refer to this webpage for the most up-to-date information.
A Healthy Start
You can expect the temperature of all guests to be taken on the first day of the tour. A temperature below 100.4 F will be required for participation in the trip.
Expertly Trained Guides
Your Country Walkers guides will receive additional rigorous training on health and safety protocols such as sanitization, food prep, and physical distancing, and implement these protocols on your tour.
Physical Distancing—Not Social Distancing!
We encourage the usual social atmosphere and group bonding that happens on our walking adventures, just a few more feet apart. Your guides will show you some fun no-touch ways to say “Hello!” in place of a customary handshake or hug. Guides will remind guests to maintain a safe distance, whenever possible, during activities on tour. Additional transportation vehicles will be provided, when possible, to allow for more space between guests.
Keeping Things Squeaky Clean
Equipment and support vehicles will be sanitized daily, and shared high-touch surfaces will be sanitized more frequently. We encourage you to bring your own supply of hand sanitizer and face coverings to use throughout your vacation—extras will be available at group gatherings and in support vehicles.
Meals and Snacks
Guides are trained on the latest recommendations for safe food handling. There will be a focus on prepackaged snacks and picnic items, and your trip leaders will wear protective gear like gloves and masks when handling and serving food. Dinners will remain a highlight during your vacation, with more options to gather in smaller groups.
