This morning you transfer to Santiago International Airport, where you bid farewell to your guide(s) before continuing on to Patagonia. Should your post-tour extension flight time necessitate an early transfer to Santiago International Airport, Country Walkers will make the arrangements, and your guide(s) will communicate your departure time to you on tour. Upon arrival at Punta Arenas you will be met by The Singular Patagonia hotel’s representative and transported to your 5-star hotel, The Singular Patagonia.
This evening The Singular Patagonia tour staff will meet with you to review your tour interests and arrange your personal tour itinerary. Born in Santiago but raised in Boston, Piedad Rodriguez Camus grew up with a keen interest in the history and nature of South America, especially as it relates to pre-Columbian cultures. Returning to her home continent, Piedad worked in tourism as a program director and walking and horseback riding guide for various international companies. She loves to share her passion for Chile’s landscapes and culture with all visiting guests. When she has free time, Piedad loves nothing more than to spend a day walking along the pacific coast followed by a meal of fresh seafood paired with an ice-cold glass of sauvignon blanc.
Marcela Thompson has spent time living in the United States and has a degree in journalism and social communication from Diego Portales University in Santiago. She has also taken focused courses in pre-Hispanic history and geology and has worked as a guide not only in Chile but also in New Zealand and Australia. Rene Andres Lagos Pavez
Born and raised in the foothills of the Andes Mountains of central Chile, Rene Andrés Lagos Pavez spent part of his high school years in British Columbia, Canada. He fell in love with the outdoors while studying farming techniques at a local academy and in the off-season works as a patroller and a mountain safety specialist at a ski area outside Santiago. Rene also loves spending time with his wife and three children and, when time permits, traveling to other regions of South America as well as Europe and the USA.
Antu Daniel Rios Rodriquez
Antu Daniel Rios Rodriguez was raised on a family farm in the south of Chile and has been a nature lover since childhood. Moving to the city at the age of 18 in order to study economics, he soon discovered a passion for traveling and moved throughout the world, even spending time in the Brazilian Amazon harvesting bananas and farming in the southern United States. Eventually settling back in Chile, he enjoys showing off his native Chile while also running a productive organic farm with his family.
